Time to make shit happen! You owe you! Nobody can force you to succeed. You eat what you kill! Make sure you go into today with a hunter mindset not a victim mentality!
Most of you have probably already been updated on the time off policy and if not you will be shortly. I wanted to make sure everyone understood a few key points about it.
1. We will not approve having more then 20% of the IAQ department off for a specific location at the same time. If you get denied because of this I apologize in advance but it does not work for the schedule. It is not personal but we have to make sure our customers are taken care of and we cannot support or run the business with that many techs off.
2. Between time off and sick days we expect for everyone to be at or under 15 work days missed. Between these, three day weekends and federal holidays this provides a lot of time off for work life balance. If you are on pace for more than that this year I will text you individually to let you know where you are at. We do expect for you to make adjustments through the end of the year to make sure this aligns with where this needs to be at. Again, we have to have balance and there are a lot of people who are on pace to be far above this metric. There are also a lot of people who would kill for the opportunity to make this kind of money and show up to get after it while not taking too much time off or taking advantage of our flexibility and crippling our schedule or our customers.
3. Do not submit a request if it is within two weeks. Barring an emergency this will be denied and puts me in the position to have to be an ass hole. I do not like having to do that or deny time off so if you have not submitted outside of two weeks please do not put either of us in that position.
Time off is important. Work life balance is important. I am as big of a proponent for that as anyone. We must take care of all 4 pillars of a good life though. They all lead into and support each other. In order to support your wealth pillar/career we need to be available. We work our asses off to keep the schedule full of a plethora of jobs at all times for you guys. We need that energy to be matched to be available and knock 'em out! Going forward all time off request and the approvals will go directly through me for the department. Whenever submitted I will shoot you a text to confirm or deny based on the above.
